Most advice you’ll be given will recommend you switch to soft-cup, non-wired bras. However, if you really want to stick to wired bras, make sure you get yourself checked regularly and don’t wear one that’s causing you any pain or discomfort.
You’re likely to increase anything between two and four sizes while pregnant and a badly fitting bra can cause all sorts of problems. When you’re buying a maternity bra therefore, you need to think about giving yourself room to grow. So this is the one time we’ll advise you to try new bras on their tightest hook setting - so that you can loosen them as you expand. You should also try bras at least one size bigger around the back to allow for rib movement.
Don’t forget that your breasts will increase at least one cup size after the birth so your nursing bras will need to be bigger. You need to be able to fit a pad in each cup as well, so when trying on, try to fit your hand inside to make sure you’ve left enough room.
Like you, we're currently in the process of expanding so our maternity range isn't fully formed just yet. But, if you need more advice/help, don’t forget, you can always give us a call and we’ll sort you out. As usual, if you’re not happy with anything you buy, you can return it. See our returns policy for further details.
